Summary The Physical Therapist provides evidence-based direct and indirect physical therapy services to all patients referred to the department, promoting excellence with the delivery of care. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Other Information Required Job Qualifications: 0-3 years of Physical Therapy experience. Basic computer skills. Graduate of CAPTE accredited physical therapy program. Clinical Practice Meets all state regulatory requirements Preferred Job Qualifications Maintains Illinois License, with supporting minimum of 20CEUs /year. Responsibilities Executes a thorough patient evaluation, obtaining and interpreting data necessary to support a physical therapy diagnosis. Provides an evidenced base plan of care for treatment, including functional goals and methods to achieve said goals. Adapts treatment environment, tools, equipment, and activities according to the needs of the individual. Monitors the individual's response to treatment interventions and modifies treatment and plan as indicated. Terminates patient services when maximum benefit or goals have been achieved Monitors own performance and identify supervisory needs. Maintains treatment area, equipment, and supply inventory as required. Documents completely per Epic standards using point of care method. Following standards established for each clinical area. Demonstrates effective teaching and communication skills, especially as related for patient and family education. Demonstrates ability to use Epic for timely and accurate patient billing. Strives to meet all benchmarking standards for hours worked/units billed. Participates in all quality improvement projects. Identifies and pursues own professional growth and development. Participates in available professional and community activities. Supports and demonstrates a team approach with other disciplines. Functions according to the APTA guidelines, the Illinois Physical Therapy Practice Act and standards of the profession. Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
