Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and well-rounded Yoga and Physical Education Teacher to deliver developmentally appropriate classes to children (ages 2- 5 years). This dual-role position is ideal for someone who is passionate about both fitness and mindfulness, and who enjoys working with young learners (especially in preschool or elementary settings).
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and lead engaging physical education classes that promote motor skills, coordination, teamwork, and physical fitness.
• Teach yoga sessions focused on flexibility, balance, breathing, and mindfulness.
Adapt activities for different age groups and skill levels. Foster a positive and inclusive environment that supports children’s physical and emotional well-being. Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators to support school-wide wellness goals. Ensure safety standards are maintained during all physical activities.
Qualifications:
Degree in Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field (preferred).
Certified Yoga Instructor (preferred). Prior experience teaching both physical education and yoga, especially to young children. CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain. Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred Traits:
Creative, energetic, and nurturing teaching style.
Familiarity with social-emotional learning (SEL) through movement. Ability to integrate physical activity with academic or thematic learning.
