Responsibilities
? Collect and process biological specimens ensuring correct patient and specimen identification.

? Enter and verify patient demographics and specimen information into the computer system.

? Maintain quality assurance by ensuring accuracy and completeness of work performed.

? Participate in departmental financial responsibilities and cost reduction initiatives.

? Communicate courteously and professionally with internal and external customers.

? Understand and uphold patient rights and privacy (HIPAA).
Requirements
? Minimum age requirement of 18.

? High School diploma or equivalent may be required based on state regulations.

? Completion of a phlebotomy program or relevant phlebotomy experience.

? Possession of a valid state driver's license and eligibility for company auto insurance coverage.

? Ability to obtain DHS Fingerprinting Certification if required.
