Job Summary: The Philanthropy Associate supports Human-I-T’s fundraising efforts by identifying, cultivating, and managing relationships with corporate, foundation, and individual donors. This role contributes to proposal writing, grant reporting, and stewardship activities while ensuring alignment between program objectives and funding priorities. The position requires excellent communication, research, and organizational skills to support the growth and sustainability of Human-I-T’s mission-driven initiatives. Job Responsibilities/Duties: Identify and research new funding opportunities from corporations, foundations, and individuals. Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders. Assist in writing proposals, preparing grant submissions, and managing reporting requirements. Collaborate with internal teams to align fundraising strategies with program and organizational goals. Track fundraising pipeline, donor interactions, and stewardship activities using CRM systems. Support donor communications and engagement to strengthen long-term relationships. Maintain accurate fundraising records and assist in the preparation of reports and presentations. Contribute to continuous improvement of fundraising processes and donor management systems. Job Specifications: This position requires a motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong communication and relationship-building abilities. The Philanthropy Associate must be comfortable managing multiple priorities, conducting research, and contributing to the organization’s overall fundraising success. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Nonprofit Studies, or a related field. Experience: 2–4 years of experience in fundraising, grant development, or donor relations. Skills: Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills Strong research and analytical abilities Organizational and project management skills Experience using CRM or donor management databases (preferred) Collaboration and teamwork across departments Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines Passion for technology, equity, and social impact Work Context: Indoors; in an office environment, primarily working on computers.
