PharmD Advance Pharmacy Practice Rotation
Application Deadline: November 20, 2025. Acceptances will be communicated in December 2025. TheAdvanced Pharmacy Practice Experience at Biodesix allows students to work remotely and obtain experience working cross-functionally within Health Economics Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Medical Affairs. Students will spend 4-6 weeks working with Biodesix and work closely with their preceptor. Pharmacy students who participate in the Biodesix APPE rotation program will acquire knowledge, skills, and abilities beneficial to their professional career.This practice experience is designed to provide PharmD students in their last year of pharmacy school with a basic understanding of the medical diagnostic industry, how medical diagnostics come to market, and the barriers to adoption. Practical and didactic experience will expose the student to a variety of activities and competencies. Specific project work may include assisting with any of the following: • Dossier development • Protocol development and results interpretation • HEOR tool development (payer facing slide decks, literature reviews, economic models) • Commercial field tool development (provider facing) • Literature Reviews/conference summaries • Publication/Poster/Abstract writing Pre-requisites Rotations are offered only in the last year of pharmacy school.Students are encouraged to apply in the year preceding their last year of pharmacy school. All interested applicants must submit the following: • Resume or curriculum vitae • One-page paper focusing on how a rotation at Biodesix would facilitate achievement of your career goals • Three potential time slots for your rotation, keeping in mind that flexible rotation slots will expand placement opportunities Primary preceptor: Kimberly Le, PharmD, MS, MBA, Director of HEOR, Biodesix Inc. Note that Biodesix is not currently affiliated with all pharmacy schools and as such, agreements may need to be made between school and site prior to commencement of rotation.Confirmation of availability of rotation slot does not guarantee that an affiliation agreement is in place.
