Job Summary We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a remote basis. As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing prescriptions, maintaining patient records, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities Screen and process prescriptions for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Read and interpret prescription terminology, utilizing knowledge of generic and brand medications, and enter prescription information into our computer system. Research and resolve discrepancies in prescriptions, directing questionable prescriptions to prescribers for clarification and obtaining necessary information. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide exceptional customer service, responding to patient inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Perform other pharmacy-related functions as required, including data entry, faxing physicians for clarification, and supporting workflow development. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Active Texas State Board of Pharmacy license or trainee permit. Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program. 3 months of pharmacy experience. Verifiable high school diploma or GED. Basic computer knowledge and typing skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience with pharmacy management software and systems. Strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing and patient records. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
