Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist with various pharmacy operations, including dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service. This is an onsite role, requiring you to work at one of our pharmacy locations nationwide. Key Responsibilities: Assisting Pharmacists: Assist licensed pharmacists with dispensing prescriptions, managing inventory, and performing other pharmacy-related tasks. Dispensing Prescriptions: Accurately fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, and verifying medicine is correct. Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, respond to customer inquiries, and provide support with over-the-counter (OTC) products. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, checking, and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals. Cash Handling: Handle cash transactions, process manual claims for third-party program prescription services, and perform other clerical duties. Clinical Services: Assist pharmacists with administering clinical services, including collecting and labeling blood/urine samples, and coordinating clinical services. Communication: Communicate effectively with pharmacists, customers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless workflow and patient care. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: Language Skills: Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours. Certification: Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) is preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience: Six months of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a pharmacy setting. Prior Experience with Walgreens: Prior work experience with Walgreens is an asset. Math and Computer Skills: Good math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications, and proficiency in computer skills. Inventory Control: Knowledge of store inventory control principles and practices.
