About the position
Responsibilities
• Create and update patient profiles for newly admitted patients.
• Process medication orders for newly admitted patients via the pharmacy's operating system.
• Complete all tasks in accordance with department standards for productivity and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA guidelines, state and federal laws, and company policies.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare Part D, Medicaid, Medicaid HMO plans, and commercial insurances.
• Knowledge of brand/generic medications and Sig codes required.
• Must be registered and pending with the Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician in New Jersey.
Nice-to-haves
• Knowledge of Framework or Docutrack is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Quick and independent learner.
