Job Description
The Pharmacy Sales Specialist is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers that lead to future business opportunities. This position increases profitability and expands existing accounts by selling ICU Medical products and extending relationships into new areas with new accounts. The Pharmacy Sales Specialist also provides limited post sales implementation support.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ā¢ Meet territory sales quota for Oncology disposables and compounding system
ā¢ Master presentation skills and command technical knowledge of the ICU Medical family of products and how they relate to guidelines USP, NIOSH, CDC, ONB, SHEA INS, etc. in order to communicate professionally with hospital pharmacists and clinicians
ā¢ Know the strengths and weaknesses of competing products in the market and how to position Company offerings against them clinically
ā¢ Be the clinical expert/consultative problem solver at the field level for a team of territory sales representatives
ā¢ Knowledge of territory and customer base, contracts, pumps, solutions, etc.
ā¢ Be able to conduct product trials and implementation of oncology products
ā¢ Promote oncology products through all available distribution channels
ā¢ Know the market and pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in the market through local ASHP ONS chapters
ā¢ Communicate with managers and align sales efforts with company and regional targets
ā¢ Work on special assignments as they arise

ā¢ Strong organizational skills
ā¢ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
ā¢ Able to work independently with minimal supervision
ā¢ Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
ā¢ Willing to work occasionally during weekends and/or nights to support customer and Company needs as necessary
ā¢ Must have a valid driver's license
ā¢ Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook
Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience
ā¢ Must be at least 18 years of age
ā¢ Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required
ā¢ Minimum 5 years of medical sales experience
ā¢ Minimum 2 years of pharmacy interfacing sales experience for disposables
ā¢ Professional training as a pharmacy technician or pharmacist strongly preferred
ā¢ Demonstrated ability to support a broader region and support the development of peer group capabilities in partnership with regional leader
ā¢ Proven track record of making quota/growth in territory and developing existing customer relationships with Supply Chain
ā¢ Position requires active and current compliance with all credentialing requirements, including COVID-19 vaccination, to perform the essential function of your role at customer locations.
Work Environment
ā¢ This job is a field based role.
ā¢ Work may be performed in a home office using standard office equipment, as well as on-site at customer locations.
ā¢ While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time; depending on the needs of a customer
ā¢ As part of the scope of employment, the employee must hold a valid driver's license as well as comply and meet the requirements set forth in the Authorized Driver Policy to drive on behalf of the company.
ā¢ Typically requires travel 50% of the time
This role is based remotely; the incumbent may be remote in any state other than Colorado; California; Connecticut; Montana, Maine or New York.
