This role not only supports the pharmacist in delivering top‑tier pharmaceutical care but also drives sales through proactive assistance, product knowledge, and seamless checkout experiences.

Key Responsibilities – Delivering Exceptional Service & Operational Excellence

Greet each customer with a warm, friendly demeanor, establishing trust from the first interaction.
Proactively identify patient needs, offer assistance with over‑the‑counter (OTC) items, and guide shoppers to appropriate aisle locations.
Resolve inquiries, concerns, or complaints promptly, ensuring a positive outcome and reinforcing arenaflex’s reputation for care.
Model and share best‑practice service habits—eye contact, attentive listening, and proactive assistance—with all team members.
Champion arenaflex’s service traits, such as “service until satisfied” and “identify needs before they are expressed.”

Pharmacy Operations & Prescription Processing

Under direct supervision of the pharmacist, use arenaflex’s pharmacy system to retrieve patient data, verify medication orders, and enter prescription details accurately.
Assist in counting, pouring, and labeling pharmaceutical drugs while adhering to strict quality and safety protocols.
Promptly report any prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and follow arenaflex’s Quality Improvement Program procedures.
Process manual claims for third‑party prescription services, ensuring timely submission and accurate documentation.
Handle routine pharmacy telephone calls, including physician queries and refill requests that do not require pharmacist intervention.
Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as the arenaflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.

Retail Sales & Cash Management

Operate the assigned cash register efficiently, processing sales, voids, returns, refunds, rain checks, and exchanges with precision.
Collect cash, dispense change accurately, and manage electronic payment transactions in line with arenaflex’s cash‑handling standards.
Recommend complementary and higher‑margin items to enhance the customer’s purchase experience and drive store profitability.

Merchandising, Inventory & Store Maintenance

Keep counters, shelves, and displays clean, well‑stocked, and visually appealing; execute price changes and promotional setups as directed.

Assist with specialized inventory tasks such as ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, while filing claims for overages, shortages, or damaged goods.
Maintain knowledge of regulated products (e.g., alcohol, tobacco) and ensure proper age verification and compliance.
Construct and refresh seasonal or promotional displays, ensuring brand consistency and visual impact.

Additional Support Functions

Provide photo‑service assistance, including digital passport photos, poster printing, and promotional product suggestions.
Manage web‑pick‑up orders via Picture Care Plus, selecting items accurately and delivering them to customers promptly.
