Job Summary We're looking for a compassionate and skilled Personal Care Assistant to join our Assisted Living team at Monument Health Custer. As a Personal Care Assistant, you'll work closely with our nursing team to provide high-quality care and support to our residents, helping them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities Provides general assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming needs according to care plan. Delivers resident care in accordance with the resident care plan as determined by facility Nurse Manager and Physician Orders. Assists and supervises residents with administration of medications per Physician Orders and follows proper protocols for administering medication. Obtains resident vital signs and weights on a monthly basis or as ordered by physician. Records observations and all pertinent information in the resident chart and the resident communication book. Prepares and/or assists with meals, snacks, and beverages. Completes variance reports according to policy. Gives and receives report in a timely manner by utilizing resident communication book and MAR's. Effectively and efficiently completes all assigned duties. Performs other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following essential qualifications: High School Diploma/GED Equivalent in General Studies. Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification from the South Dakota Board of Nursing. Medication Assistant-Certified (MA-C) certification from an accredited university or accredited training professionals. Ability to exert very heavy work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods. Ability to work designated shift lengths, including night shifts or occasional irregular hours. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in an assisted living or healthcare setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
