About the position

As a Personal Banker at Renasant Bank, you will play a crucial role in delivering a best-in-class customer experience. This position is centered around customer service and proactive sales, where you will engage with both existing and prospective customers to assess and meet their financial needs. You will embody the Renasant Bank customer engagement model, acting as a trusted financial advisor. Your self-motivation will be key in achieving balanced performance across customer experience, deposits, account acquisition and retention, and partner referrals, all aimed at driving income for the branch. In this role, you will focus on three primary areas: service execution, sales execution, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for developing new and existing relationships through the customer engagement model, creating daily plans to deepen customer relationships, and ensuring the consistent execution of service standards. Collaboration with the Branch Manager will be essential to meet service, sales, and operational goals. You will also be expected to resolve customer issues effectively, acting as a liaison between the customer and the bank, and maintaining a self-motivated approach to achieve optimal sales and service results. Additionally, you will utilize every customer interaction to identify further needs and make appropriate recommendations. Building effective partnerships with other business lines will be crucial for fostering profitable customer relationships. Participation in community activities as a representative of Renasant Bank is also part of your responsibilities. You may serve as a back-up Teller or Head Teller when needed, ensuring that all documentation is completed accurately to minimize exceptions. Staying informed about regulations, policies, and procedures related to Personal Banker responsibilities and branch operations is vital, along with performing other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
• Deliver a best-in-class customer experience through effective service execution.

• Create a daily individual plan focused on deepening customer relationships and executing service standards.

• Partner with the Branch Manager to achieve service, sales, and operational goals.

• Role model Renasant service standards in all customer and teammate interactions.

• Resolve customer issues by acting as a liaison between the customer and the bank.

• Maintain self-motivation to achieve optimal sales and service results weekly, monthly, and yearly.

• Identify additional customer needs during interactions and make appropriate recommendations.

• Build effective partnerships with other lines of business to enhance customer relationships.

• Participate in community activities as a representative of Renasant Bank.

• Serve as a back-up Teller or Head Teller when needed.

• Ensure proper documentation is obtained and completed for all solutions.

• Complete all account maintenance activities accurately.

• Stay up-to-date with regulations, policies, and procedures related to Personal Banker responsibilities.

Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college education preferred.
,
• Minimum of 1 year related customer experience and sales experience required.
,
• Strong dedication to achieving sales, service, and operational results.
,
• Ability to produce individual and team sales and customer experience results.
,
• Focus on customer financial needs and priorities.
,
• Knowledge of the financial services industry and local community.
,
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
,
• Attention to detail with a strong record of accuracy in transactions.

• Comfortable using various technology software products for transactions.

• Proven time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

• Aptitude to read, understand, and apply regulations, policies, and procedures related to Personal Banker responsibilities.

• Ability to travel for training and development opportunities.

Nice-to-haves
• Minimum of 2 years of successful personal sales experience for Senior Personal Bankers.

• Ability to handle complex transactions with limited supervision for Senior Personal Bankers.
,
• Operational strength with limited exceptions for Senior Personal Bankers.
,
• Proficient in all aspects of bank products and solutions, including IRAs and complex business accounts for Senior Personal Bankers.

• Current State insurance license for Licensed Personal Bankers.
,
• Ability to meet licensing requirements established by the Bank's broker/dealer for Licensed Personal Bankers.
