Job Summary:
The General Warehouse Worker will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support the efficient operation of our Perishable Distribution Center. This will include:
Moving incoming and outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center using hand trucks, forklift equipment, or other material handling equipment
Checking, verifying, and auditing merchandise to ensure accuracy and quality
Identifying, separating, labeling, and palletizing merchandise for storage or shipment
Replenishing pick areas and filling merchandise orders from stores
Loading and unloading merchandise from trailers and conveyor systems
Reporting damages, discrepancies, or vendor compliance issues to supervisors
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to safety protocols and procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Basic knowledge of simple math concepts and ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit
Ability to learn and operate motorized merchandise movement equipment
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting productivity and quality standards
Experience working in an automated distribution center or warehouse management systems applications is an asset
Working Conditions:
Continuous lifting of merchandise up to 65 pounds, with occasional team lifting of up to 85 pounds
Continuous walking, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and pushing/pulling using hands and/or arms
May work at heights up to 30 feet above ground, with exposure to dust, noise, extreme heat, and cold
May work continuously up to 12 hours, with regular breaks and time off
