Overview:
As a consultant, you will serve as the main point of contact for a handful of
clients, possibly interacting directly with other People partners, internal HR contact, and/or
members of the finance team. Similar titles that might be good fits for this role are Payroll
Specialist, Payroll Manager, Payroll and Benefits Specialist.

What you'll do:
Ā Be the go-to payroll and retirement expert for clients, assisting employees with paycheck, tax, and 401(k) questions.
Ā Oversee payroll compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Ā Resolve payroll discrepancies, research tax laws, and collaborate with benefits providers.
Ā Implement new payroll systems and improve workflows.
Ā Conduct payroll audits and ensure multi-state tax compliance.
Ā Manage offboarding payroll tasks, including final paychecks and retirement rollovers.
Ā Participate in 1-3 client meetings per week.
What we're looking for:
Ā 3+ years of payroll processing and retirement benefits experience.
Ā Expertise in multi-state payroll, tax compliance, and HRIS platforms.
Ā Strong knowledge of ERISA, FLSA, ACA, IRS regulations, and payroll best practices.
Ā Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ā A client-service mindset-you're passionate about helping employees navigate payroll and benefits.
Ā Preferred certifications: CPP, FPC, or CEBS (not required but a plus!)
