The People Operations & Rewards Partner plays a crucial role in delivering a high-quality employee experience by managing benefits programs, ensuring compliance, and providing analytical insights to optimize rewards offerings.ResponsibilitiesManage US and Canada employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, etc.) with accuracy and timelinessResponsible for annual open enrollment, including system configuration, testing, employee communication, and vendor coordinationInterpret benefit plan provisions and policies to advise employees and internal partners on eligibility, coverage, and compliance requirementsProcess benefits changes, enrollments, and qualifying life event requestsResponsible for resolving employee benefit issues and escalating or recommending process changes as neededMaintain benefits data integrity across HRIS, vendor platforms, and payroll systems using analytical skills to identify discrepancies and take corrective actionsConduct audits, reconciliations, and invoice reviews, independently determining steps required to resolve variancesMonitor and troubleshoot HRIS and vendor file-feed errors, advising internal stakeholders on root causes and solutionsManage and validate biweekly eligibility and enrollment file uploads to downstream benefit vendors, ensuring accuracy and timely deliveryCollaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate benefit deductions and partner with Finance on cost tracking and forecasting inputsEnsure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, IRS/DOL requirements, provincial/territorial legislation in Canada, and internal audit standardsSupport required filings and reporting (e.g., 5500s, nondiscrimination testing, ACA reporting, provincial reporting)Maintain up-to-date plan documentation, SPDs, policies, and procedure guidesRecommend process enhancements to strengthen internal controls and compliance practicesAct as collaborative partner within the People Operations & Rewards team, contributing to cross-functional initiativesContribute to team planning cycles, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and employee experienceSkillsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)1-3 years of experience in benefits administrationStrong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and spot trendsAbility to exercise sound judgment in interpreting policies, resolving issues, and recommending process improvementsHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skillsExcellent communication and customer service skillsProficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft ExcelCommitment to teamwork and a collaborative mindsetPrior experience with benefits compliance (ERISA, COBRA, ACA, HIPAA)Experience working with brokers, carriers, or third-party administratorsExperience in a multi-state employer environment with varying regulationsKnowledge of benefits plan design, renewal cycles, and vendor performance managementBenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance plans to keep you and your family healthy.Access to company sponsored wellness programs and mental health resources.Paid leave of absence for qualifying events.Generous paid parental leave for both birthing and non-birthing parents.A competitive 401(k) plan with company match that vest immediately.Financial planning services to help you secure your future.Corporate discount programs for goods and services.Generous paid time off.Flexible work hours.Flexible work arrangement options to help you balance your personal and professional life may be available.Opportunities for continuous learning and career advancement through training programs, mentorship, and tuition reimbursement.Recognition programs to celebrate achievements and contributions, including peer recognition, bonuses, awards, and special events.A supportive work environment where everyone feels valued, and has a sense of belonging.Participate in team-building activities, volunteer opportunities, and company-sponsored events.Sustainability strategy that outlines our ambitions for how to run our company in a more sustainable way.Company OverviewColoplast is a manufacturer of medical devices that offers ostomy, continence, and wound care products.
