About the position

Responsibilities
• Recruit top talent for the hotel, focusing on both salaried and hourly positions across the portfolio.
• Coordinate pre-selection activities, including reference checks and background checks.
• Direct and support hotel leaders with recruiting processes to ensure effective hiring and retention.
• Onboard new hires and lead orientation sessions to help them acclimate to the hotel environment.
• Support associate performance management by analyzing assessments and ensuring feedback is appropriate.
• Establish relationships with hotel teams to drive engagement and collaboration.
• Partner with managers to develop associates through training programs.
• Review current methods and make recommendations for improvement to management staff.
• Support colleague appreciation and recognition efforts by planning and executing activities.
• Guide and counsel the hotel management team on employee relations concerns, seeking mutually beneficial solutions.
• Manage the administration of wages and benefits at the property level, addressing colleague concerns.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal HR laws and regulations.

Requirements
• 1-2 years of HR experience, particularly in recruiting, onboarding, and employee engagement.
• Hotel operations or hospitality experience is preferred.
• Strong collaboration skills and a passion for supporting others.
• Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Proactive and creative mindset with fresh ideas for execution.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback professionally.
• Ability to use HR management systems and databases.

Nice-to-haves
• Experience in hotel operations or hospitality industry.
• Familiarity with HR management systems.
