They are seeking a People & Culture Coordinator to support the full employee lifecycle, focusing on talent acquisition, onboarding, and employee engagement.ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for designated roles, including posting roles, pre-screening, scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and preparing offer documentsPartner with hiring managers to develop role profiles, define evaluation criteria, and deliver a consistent, high-quality candidate experience at every stageLead intake meetings with hiring managers to understand team needs, set expectations on process and timelines, and act as trusted advisor throughout the searchDraft and post compelling job advertisements that reflect the company's brand and attract diverse, qualified candidatesManage offer processes including preparing offer letters, conducting reference checks, and supporting negotiations where applicableTrack and report on key talent acquisition metrics (time-to-fill, source of hire, offer acceptance rate, etc.) to identify trends and continuously improve recruitment effectivenessOwn the onboarding process - coordinate pre-boarding paperwork, day-one logistics, conduct orientation sessions, and cross-functional introductions to set new hires up for successMaintain accurate and confidential employee records across our HRIS and paper files, ensuring data integrity and compliance with employment regulationsPrepare, process, and track documentation related to employment changes and offboardingMonitor the P&C inbox and serve as a first point of contact for employee inquires, escalating complex matters appropriatelyAdminister various employee benefit program, including health benefits, subsidy programs, and other reimbursementsSupport the administration of payroll and time-off balances in collaboration with the Accounting departmentActively participate in the social committee and support the planning and execution of company-wide eventsAssist in the planning and delivery of P&C-sponsored activities, cultural events, and recognition programsMaintain the P&C team's calendar of events, coordinating activities, and sending out communication regarding eventsGather and analyze feedback to help improve workplace culture and employee experiencesProvide occasional cross-functional coverage, such as restocking snack supplies, to ensure a smooth and welcoming workplace experienceProduce regular P&C reports and dashboards to support leadership in decision-makingContribute to ad hoc P&C projects, process improvement initiatives, and organizational development effortsSkills1-3 years of experience in an HR coordination, recruitment, or people operations rolePost-secondary education in HR, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)CPHR candidacy or completion of an HR certificate programProficient with HRIS and talent acquisition platforms (previous experience with ADP and/or Workable is an asset)Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentialityA naturally warm and approachable presence, willing to proactively reach out and create conditions for others to feel welcomed and includedStrong written and verbal communication skillsExposure to benefits administration and payroll coordination is an assetBenefits100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision benefit plan15 paid vacation days to startHealth and wellness daysBereavement daysReimbursements for professional training and membership in professional associationsFitness subsidyCompany OverviewPressReader offers unlimited digital access to over 7,000 newspapers and magazines from all over the world.
