During your internship, you can expect to gain a holistic understanding of the Mortgage Lending and Title (Financial Services) industries. We also will invest in you and your continued development through centralized training and development opportunities throughout the summer. Then, in your daily work, you’ll work with our experienced professionals in your designated function and contribute to meaningful projects. Lastly, you’ll showcase your experience and ideas by closing your internship with a capstone presentation with your local leadership team. Summary: Work cross-functionally and have exposure to multiple areas within the People and Culture function such as: Talent Acquisition, HR Administration, Benefits/FMLA, Payroll, Project Management, Compensation, Employee relations and more. This HR internship is an excellent foundation to jump- start your career. Responsibilities • Help create and distribute HR communications, including, updates, and announcements, to keep employees informed on relevant HR programs and initiatives. • Gain exposure to payroll processes through observation and guided learning with the People & Culture Business Partner and Coordinator, including how personnel changes flow through HR systems and how payroll and benefits questions are handled. • Contribute to data analysis efforts and assist in preparing reports for HR and management use. • Gain exposure to complex HR matters such as employee relations through reviewing case studies and learning about employment laws, compliance, and regulations. • Support employee engagement initiatives by assisting with event planning, gathering feedback, and helping implement programs that enhance workplace culture. • Partner with the recruitment team and HR coordinator on activities related to interview coordination and onboarding of new hires. • Communication with candidates and managers, background checks, first day details, and new hire orientation. • Participate in HR projects and initiatives across multiple functions. • Conducting research on HR related topics. • Contribute to HR analytics initiatives.
