Peer and Family Support Advisor
About the position
The Peer and Family Support Advisor at Centene Corporation plays a crucial role in guiding and mentoring provider agency peer or family support partners. This position focuses on ensuring adherence to best practices in peer and family support, fidelity to the recovery model, and enhancing understanding of emerging recovery practices. The advisor will report efforts and outcomes to leadership, develop training modules, and maintain collaborative relationships with provider management and community supports.
Responsibilities
? Guide and mentor provider agency peer or family support partners to ensure adherence to SAMHSA Peer and Family best practices.

? Provide ongoing support and training to peer or family supports at provider agencies.
,
? Report suggested solutions to leadership regarding gaps in network and service capabilities.
,
? Develop training classes and presentations for management approval and delivery to provider Peer or Family Support.
,
? Stay updated with Peer and Family Advisory Councils and fill in for Peer and Family Support Program Guides as needed.
,
? Develop and update Peer or Family Support Partner Training Modules.
,
? Monitor provider Peer or Family workforce to ensure appropriate staffing levels and report data to leadership.
,
? Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with provider management and community supports.
,
? Support health plans outreach efforts in collaboration with internal departments.
,
? Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
? High school diploma or equivalent.
,
? 5+ years of related behavioral health experience.
,
? Personal experience as a consumer or family member of a consumer in the Arizona Long Term Care system (ALTCS) or Arizona behavioral health system.
