Key responsibilities of the role Your North Star: Provide and facilitate amazing patient-centered clinical care to our pediatric patients. β€’ *We are currently hiring for a full-time position with the following shift: Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, 9 AM - 9 PM EST. This role requires rotating holiday coverage.** Reporting to the Director of Nursing, your key responsibilities will include: β€’ Assessment of urgent pediatric concerns and proactively triaging patients to support appropriate utilization of Pomelo Care and/or emergency services β€’ Following evidence-based clinical protocols in the assessment and triage of pediatric patients β€’ Ongoing clinical and psychosocial assessment of new pediatric patients, providing reassurance and building rapport β€’ Identifying and addressing barriers to care that have been identified by patients and/or the care team. β€’ Reducing care gaps (missed appointments, medication management, etc.) by frequent engagements with patient β€’ Assessing the need for and educating patients on the equipment they will use to monitor their health remotely β€’ Ongoing surveillance and timely response to abnormal diagnostic results (labs, radiology, etc.) β€’ Timely documentation of all care/interactions and escalating to appropriate multidisciplinary teams, as needed β€’ Supporting the development of programs and product by providing user feedback Who you are β€’ Registered Nurse, BSN prepared, current unrestricted multi-state (compact) license β€’ Have 3+ years experience in an outpatient practice or hospital, serving pediatric populations β€’ Flexible and agile thinker who embraces change β€’ Are internet-connected, able to work remotely via video, phone and text β€’ Willing to travel occasionally (infrequent) β€’ Willing to work weekends and holidays β€’ Understand the prevalence and role that birth inequity and structural racism plays in maternal and infant morbidity and mortality β€’ Professionally engaged Bonus points if you have any of the following β€’ 2+ years of outpatient pediatric care experience β€’ Experience providing virtual or phone triage care β€’ Experience providing care in Spanish Why you should join our team By joining Pomelo, you will get in on the ground floor of a fast-moving, well-funded, and mission-driven startup where you will have a profound impact on the patients we serve. In accordance with New York City, Colorado, California, and other applicable laws, Pomelo Care is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. Individual pay decisions are ultimately based on a number of factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, geography, and balancing internal equity.
