About the position
As a Payroll Risk & Compliance Expert at Remote, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of payroll processing. Your in-depth knowledge and expertise in payroll will be instrumental in collaborating with product, engineering, and operations teams to build and maintain effective payroll solutions. You will be responsible for identifying and resolving challenges, inconsistencies, and obstacles that arise in payroll processing by working closely with various stakeholders. This position requires a proactive approach to ensure that proprietary payroll software complies with all relevant government, corporate, and country-specific regulations, policies, and procedures. In this role, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of the deployment of proprietary payroll software in the Netherlands. This includes creating and managing training resources such as quick start guides to facilitate smooth onboarding for users. You will maintain frequent communication with stakeholders and coordinate with remote internal teams to facilitate testing and integration of payroll solutions. Your collaboration will extend to working closely with teams in Product, Engineering, Tax, and Accounting to develop effective payroll solutions through proprietary software. Additionally, you will evaluate vendors based on the needs and obligations of Remote to ensure compliance with statutory requirements as well as company policies. Your ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment and your passion for making an impact will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities

Ensure proprietary payroll software compliance with all government, corporate and country-specific regulations, policies and procedures.

Requirements
Expert in-house payroll experience in the Netherlands.

Experience implementing and managing payroll software.
,
Experience working on payroll systems and services in a multi-product, high-growth scale-up company.

Proficiency in data manipulation (e.g., SQL, Excel, Sheets).
,
Excellent time management and organizational skills.
,
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international work environment with a passion for making an impact.

Fluent in English and the local language in the country of expertise.

Experience in payroll operations UAT (User Acceptance Testing) management is a plus.
