This role requires a hands-on, detail-oriented professional who ensures timely, accurate payroll execution while supporting benefits management and compliance. You’ll work cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Operations to improve employee experience and maintain process integrity. Ideal candidates are proactive, highly organized, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a focus on continuous improvement and employee support.Accountabilities:
Process global payroll for employees and contractors, ensuring compliance with regulations
Oversee benefits administration including enrollments, terminations, and legal compliance (ACA, COBRA, ERISA)
Act as a primary point of contact for payroll and benefits inquiries
Partner with Finance on payroll funding, tax reporting, and wage law compliance
Perform regular payroll audits and manage tax registrations
Maintain accurate HRIS records and support onboarding/offboarding processes
Monitor legislative updates and ensure compliance across jurisdictions
Track FMLA, disability, and other leave policies
Maintain and update employee handbooks and company-wide policies
Support HR projects to enhance employee experience and process efficiency
Requirements
3–5+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration, preferably in a high-growth environment
Proven knowledge of multi-state and international payroll processes
Familiarity with labor laws, payroll compliance, and tax regulations
Experience working with modern HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Rippling or similar)
Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
High level of discretion when handling sensitive information
