What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing in Workday for 800-900 US employees across multiple states
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including wage-hour laws and garnishments
- Administer health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance plans, supporting open enrollment and onboarding
- Oversee 401(k) plan administration, compliance testing, and vendor management
- Serve as the Workday payroll power user, optimizing workflows and troubleshooting system issues

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-state payroll processing experience
- At least 2 years of hands-on Workday Payroll experience, including configuration and processing
- Experience in benefits administration, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability plans
- Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with 401(k) plan administration, including compliance testing and vendor management
- Background in post-merger payroll integration or complex payroll system implementations
- Experience supporting SOC 2 or external audit processes
- Knowledge of the professional services, healthcare, or private equity-backed environments
- Workday Payroll certification or comparable advanced Workday training
