Duties and Responsibilities:
• Direct liaison with the billing team to identify targets for Director involvement.
• Provides backup coverage when department Director is unavailable.
• Assist in client and payer-related administrative projects as needed, contributing to the efficiency of client success and negotiation processes.
• Maintain excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity and transparency in all interactions.
• Responsible for any deliverables required by contract (e.g. FWB training, quarterly TAT reporting).
• Analyze large data sets; collaborate with the billing team to improve cash collections.
• Consistently demonstrate the capacity to manage and resolve urgent issues that arise.
• Maintain the Contract Checklist template.
• Maintain the CI Reimbursement file.
• Communicate the need to hold or release claims for recently contracted payers.
• Occasional travel might be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Understands and is able to speak/read medical terminology
• Strong understanding of the payer marketplace and reimbursement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in working in the payer/provider healthcare setting
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
• This is a remote position.
• May require prolonged periods of sedentary work that requires sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
• Light lifting (may be required to lift up to 20 pounds at times
