As a Patient Service Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our patients during their healthcare journey. You will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to patient care and support, all while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of healthcare professionals, including assisting with activities of daily living, such as bathing, grooming, and feeding.
Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes or concerns to the appropriate medical staff.
Assist with patient mobility, including transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment, while ensuring their safety and comfort.
Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including changing linens, restocking supplies, and sanitizing equipment and surfaces.
Collect and label specimens for laboratory testing, following established protocols and procedures.
Assist with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to hospital policies and regulations.
Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients and their families, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs with professionalism and courtesy.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification as a nursing assistant or patient care technician preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic and challenging environment.
Excellent attention to detail and observational skills.
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
