About the Role: Patient Relations Representative We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Relations Representative to join our team in a remote capacity. As a key member of our patient experience team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring excellent service standards, responding to customer inquiries, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you'll be empowered to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. Key Responsibilities Receives and investigates patient complaints; achieves resolution; provides feedback to customers; performs service recovery. Acts as a liaison between staff and patients/family members; contacts family members, chaplains, transportation, etc., completes call backs. Mentors Comfort Care Aides/Volunteers in Emergency Center settings and participates in customer service education for staff. Functions as a liaison between patient, families, and the clinical team in In-Patient Family Experience department settings. Greetings patients and responds to telephone inquiries in a professional and courteous manner in Obstetrics/Labor & Delivery settings. Maintains knowledge of third-party payor and reimbursement procedures as they relate to the registration process. Exemplifies the standards of service, ownership, attitude, and respect; demonstrates service excellence. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you'll need: Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education. 2 years of relevant experience. 2-3 years of customer relations experience. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: 2 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting. 2-3 years of customer relations experience in a healthcare environment. CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association certification (upon hire). Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you'll need: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
