Overview
The Patient Advocate Coordinator will ensure that the organization’s specialty patients are provided with timely, exceptional service, among other duties. Patient Advocates require expertise and customer service skills to promote an outstanding patient experience.
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm (CST)
Responsibilities
Welcome and on-board all new specialty infusion referrals
Build rapport and establish trust with specialty patients and caregivers
Notifies patients/families regarding coverage and payment responsibilities
Conduct routine check-ins with patients during the onboarding processing
Collects needed information from patients and/or caregivers including patient insurance and medication profiles
Collaborates with Intake and Pharmacy staff to schedule visits and orders
Manage patient retention by ensuring all reasonable interventions are executed to retain a patient on service
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in healthcare customer service
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is preferred
