We are looking for a skilled Patient Account Collections Manager to lead our collections team, ensuring the highest level of performance in resolving accounts receivable while cultivating a culture of excellence and collaboration.Your Role:As the Patient Account Collections Manager, you will oversee all aspects of collections operations, from developing strategies for improvement to ensuring compliance with company policies and healthcare regulations. Lead and mentor the collections team, providing training and support to enhance skills and performance. Develop and implement collections strategies to minimize days sales outstanding (DSO) and maximize collections. Analyze accounts receivable aging reports and identify trends for proactive account management. Monitor collections metrics and performance indicators, and report results to senior management. Collaborate with other departments to address billing discrepancies, patient inquiries, and payer issues. Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements related to patient accounts. Evaluate and improve collections processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Maintain positive relationships with patients, fostering trust and communication throughout the collections process. RequirementsBachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical collections, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role. In-depth understanding of medical billing, coding, and payer regulations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends and drive improvement. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
