Job Summary As a Pastoral Migratoria Leadership Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating the work of pastoral leaders at the archdiocesan level to support the implementation and delivery of PM Chicago's initiatives. You will foster and support collaborative grassroots work and program opportunities with PM partners and stakeholders, and contribute to the development and revitalization of this ministry at both the archdiocesan and parish levels. Key Responsibilities Coordinate the work of PM leaders at the archdiocesan level to support the implementation and delivery of PM Chicago's service, accompaniment, and justice actions in local parish communities, according to the methodologies of PM and the Aparecida document. Support the work of PM leaders and Pastoral Companions (GAP) to organize and calendarize PM activities at the archdiocesan level (and parish level as needed) and engage parish teams. Strengthen parish leadership teams, initiate new PM leadership teams, and expand/introduce PM to new areas. Participate in the design and implementation of education and advocacy strategies, activities, and resources in support of immigration reform policies and the needs of the local immigrant community. Foster and support the participation and collaboration of PM leaders in archdiocesan initiatives and initiatives of National Pastoral Migratoria. Support the design and execution of PM Chicago communications strategies to raise awareness and profile of the ministry. Support program evaluation efforts, including the development and collection of activity logs, stories, and testimonies, and the development of ministry reports. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social science or related field (preferred), or equivalent experience. 3-5 years of work experience in grassroots leadership in an immigrant social ministry context, preferably with parish communities, and collaborating with community-based organizations. Bilingual (Spanish/English) with good oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated understanding, familiarity, and support for Catholic social teaching and the Church's values and evangelization mission. Understanding of and familiarity with pastoral ministry, grassroots leadership, and methodologies of the Aparecida document. Knowledge of immigration issues and legislation; committed to social justice and social action. Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build and facilitate strong relationships with pastors, external partners, and immigrants. Excellent planning, program, and organizational skills. Proficiency with mainstream social media and videoconferencing. Ability to multi-task and adapt to sudden changes/challenges. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a Catholic ministry or organization. Familiarity with the Archdiocese of Chicago's ministries and initiatives. Knowledge of Spanish language and culture.
