We're seeking a skilled Editor to edit long-form YouTube videos (30+ minutes) with a strong focus on narrative storytelling. This includes crafting character arcs, using music and visuals effectively, and adapting to unexpected developments in content. Experience in documentary-style editing is a must.
Requirements
Position Responsibilities:
 Edit raw video footage into polished documentary-style videos for our YouTube channel, ensuring high-quality production standards.
 Collaborate with writers, producers, and other team members to develop engaging narratives and story arcs.
 Incorporate graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance the storytelling experience.
 Review and integrate feedback on edits to refine and finalize video content.
 Ensure that all videos are optimized for YouTube's platform, including proper dimensions, encoding, and metadata.
 Stay abreast of current video trends and best practices to continuously improve content quality and engagement.
 Assist in the development of content strategies aimed at growing our audience and increasing viewer retention.
 Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and production schedules.
Skills & Qualifications:
 Proven experience as a video editor, specifically in documentary or storytelling formats.
 Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Davinci Resolve).
 Strong understanding of pacing, story structure, and how to effectively convey emotion through editing.
 Experience with audio editing and mixing, as well as basic motion graphics skills.
 Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in all video outputs.
 Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a creative team environment.
 A passion for health, wellness, and scientific exploration, with an understanding of Blueprint's mission and values.
 Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
