The salary for this position is set at a competitive salary.   Job title: Russian Bilingual Home Visitor/Paraeducator - Three Rivers Elementary Company: Pasco School District Job description : PASCO SCHOOL DISTRICT NO. 1 EMPLOYEE SERVICES 1215 WEST LEWIS ST PASCO, WASHINGTON 99301 PHONE (509) 543-6700 FAX (509) 543-6728 Open: July 31, 2023 Close: August 4, 2023 or until filled POSITION: Russian Bilingual Home Visitor/Paraeducator Three Rivers Elementary EFFECTIVE DATE: 2023-2024 School Year SALARY: $21.83 - $22.85 per hour $22.41 - $23.43 with Bachelor's Degree Payroll and Benefits: SCHEDULE: 7 Hours per day Monday - Friday Home Visitor: 3.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday Paraeducator: 4.0 hours per day, Monday through Friday 180 day - work year QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position) *Must proficiently read, speak and write both English and Russian *Must meet one or more of the following: -Associates degree or higher; -Have earned 72 quarter credits or 48 semester credits at the 100 level or higher; and/or -Have passed the Educational Testing Service (ETS) paraeducator assessment *Know and communicate District philosophy *Valid Washington State Driver's Liscense and complete 5 year driving abstract (Available from Department of Licensing) *Dependable transportation and proof of auto insurance *Ability to work independently and with initiative *Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness *Demonstrate and model above average language skills *Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record *Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality *Able to work flexible hours which coincide with the hours parents are available *Ability to provide workshop/training sessions for parents *Willingness to work with students and parents of students whose attendance negatively impacts performance *Willingness to work collaboratively with all building staff and participate in daily/weekly team meetings *Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures *Ability to follow supervisory directions and employ personal initiative when necessary *Experience with elementary students *Adequate health and physical stamina to withstand weather and changes of seasons *Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships *Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons *Must complete annual required training hours QUALIFICATIONS: DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position) *Experience as a classroom paraeducator or tutor *Knowledge of, and good rapport with entire migrant community *Previous Home Visitor experience *College or on-the-job training experience as a paraeducator or assessment paraeducator *Record keeping and computer skills *Willingness to do office tasks *Willingness to study materials provided by supervisory personnel and/or take college classes to improve basic instructional skills *First Aid Card Letters and applications received after closing date will only be accepted and screened if the position remains unfilled.
