The Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences seeks to fill a full-time teaching faculty Lecturer position in the area of social psychology. We especially welcome candidates who add diversity to the department, are deeply committed to evidence-based pedagogy and innovative methods, and could also provide instruction for some core courses such as research methods, statistics, or introductory psychology. The ideal candidate will have experience as an instructor of record at the college level with an interest in adding value to the undergraduate program. The initial contract period is for three years, with reappointment annually and decision for promotion to Senior Lecturer and long-term contract made in the sixth year; ultimate promotion to Teaching Professor is possible. Lecturer-stream faculty are deeply embedded in department processes and structures, including serving on elected department committees, and play a critical role in the department and university's mission. The teaching load is five courses per academic year. Applicants should have an advanced degree (a PhD in psychology or related field is preferred).
