Job duties:
Work remote anywhere in California!
We are seeking a Partner / Shareholder or Sr. Attorney that has recent exposure to Asbestos cases. You don’t need to be a specialist in Asbestos cases – perhaps you do 25% of Asbestos, and the other 75% is general liability cases or bodily injury, that is good for us.
If hired, the Sr. Attorney would have an opportunity to become Partner.
If a Partner is hired, he or she will be able to manage a team and earn several bonuses based on book of business and even working on other Partners’ cases.
· Manage a caseload of insurance defense, liability, and Asbestos / Toxic Tort related cases
· Handle all phases of litigation, including initial case analysis, discovery, depositions, motion practice, court appearances, and trial preparation
· Draft legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements
· Collaborate with clients, co-counsel, and expert witnesses to develop defense strategies
· Provide regular status reports and recommendations to insurance carriers and clients
Required:
· Must live in CA
· CA bar
· Recent experience handling asbestos cases
· General Insurance defense litigation background
