About The Role: Nevoya is seeking a skilled Dispatcher / Driver Manager to coordinate loads, manage schedules, and support operational efficiency across our electric trucking fleet. This role manages real-time freight operations while resolving the majority of issues independently and escalating only when necessary. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment, communicates effectively with drivers, brokers, and vendors, and can quickly adapt to policy and process changes. Dispatchers at Nevoya are problem-solvers who ensure shipments move on time, compliance is maintained, and customers receive excellent service. This role is part time - 24 hours per week and remote in Texas. We will consider remote within Texas for the ideal candidate. Shifts: β€’ Saturday & Sunday: 6am-6pm β€’ Saturday & Sunday: 6pm-6am What You'll Do: β€’ Assign and coordinate loads to drivers, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery β€’ Communicate with drivers to manage schedules, provide route updates, and troubleshoot issues β€’ Liaise with brokers and vendors to ensure smooth shipment flow β€’ Maintain accurate and timely updates in our dispatch systems β€’ Monitor and ensure Hours of Service compliance for all assigned drivers β€’ Manage EV charge planning to prevent delays in delivery schedules β€’ Reprioritize workloads in real time based on emergent events, guided by established policies β€’ Support other dispatchers with task delegation and provide operational guidance β€’ Coordinate with Senior Dispatchers on escalated issues or operational improvements β€’ Track and report on KPIs including on-time rates, empty miles percentage, and compliance scores Success in this role will be measured against the following operational targets: β€’ On-Time Pickup & Delivery Rate: 90% or higher β€’ Load Assignment Turnaround: 30 minutes or less from load availability β€’ Driver Communication Response Time: 5 minutes or less β€’ Hours of Service (HOS) Compliance: 98% or higher β€’ Empty Miles Percentage: 15% or lower β€’ TMS Software Update Accuracy: 95% or higher β€’ EV Charge Management: 95% or more trips without charging delays Qualifications: β€’ 3+ years of logistics experience, preferably in a dispatch or customer service capacity β€’ Intermediate IT proficiency and comfort with logistics technology platforms β€’ Working knowledge of freight industry standards and processes β€’ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English β€’ Proven ability to unjam operational issues and resolve problems independently in real time β€’ Adaptability to process and policy changes in a fast-moving environment β€’ College degree preferred Preferred: β€’ Prior EV fleet or sustainable transportation dispatch experience β€’ Familiarity with Apollo or similar dispatch/tracking platforms β€’ Experience coordinating across multiple time zones At Nevoya, we believe diverse teams build better solutions.
