A Day in the Life
As a DSP Weekend Coordinator, your day will be dynamic and rewarding. Your primary responsibility is to provide at-home care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities. You will be the lifeline for our clients and their families, ensuring they receive the care they need.
Start your shift from the comfort of your home, ready to respond to calls as they come in.
Coordinate coverage for direct support professionals unable to work their shifts.
Provide person-centered support, helping clients with daily living tasks and emotional support.
Send reports to the county board or legal guardians to keep families informed about their loved ones progress.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Valid drivers license and auto insurance
Desire to work with individuals with developmental disabilities
Must be within one hours driving distance of clients homes while on call
Previous habitation experience is preferred
Strong organizational skills and a can-do attitude
Patience and compassion are essential for success in this role
Work Schedule
This position typically works weekends, with a schedule from 4:00 PM Friday to 9:00 AM Monday. You will be paid for 20 hours of work, with additional pay for hours worked while on call. Enjoy the flexibility of working remotely as long as you are within an hour of the clients.
