Job Title: PART TIME Web Content Editor Location: Raleigh, NC/REMOTE Duration: 6+ Months • *This is a part time position working 20 hours/week. • *This position can be fully remote. The candidate will need to use their own equipment and remote into a City of Raleigh desktop image. The candidate will work 20 hours/week. Description: City of Raleigh is looking for a PART TIME web content editor familiar with Drupal or other CMS platforms to help resolve our daily web tickets and to produce and send our weekly employee newsletter. City of Raleigh is looking for a web content editor familiar with Drupal or other CMS platforms to help resolve our daily web tickets and to produce and send our weekly employee newsletter. Most of the website work is on our intranet but will also includeRaleighNC.gov. Duties include: Review and edit content in a Drupal CMS. Approve content for publication, with responsibility for proper grammar and style in posted content. Work with internal users who submit content to achieve their goals on RaleighNC.gov and the City's intranet, CoreCon. This can include helping them navigate the Drupal CMS and optimizing the design, SEO, etc. of content and layout. Understand the requirements and complexity of government websites, including accessibility in usability and readability. Compile content for the weekly employee newsletter, The Loop, and prepare the newsletter to send. The software is GovDelivery but is typical of newsletter/marketing software. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and two years of experience with content editing, preferably on a website OR an associate's degree with four years of similar experience. Familiarity with website CMS systems. Drupal preferred. Knowledge of email marketing software. Some experience creating newsletters is preferred. Command of the English language, with an appreciation for clear writing and an adherence to correct grammar and style. Apply tot his job
