Part-Time Volunteer - Technical Writer – Policy & Process Documentation
We are an 'early stage' pre-money nonprofit/ tech startup preparing for a proof-of-concept launch / seed-raise looking to recruit VOLUNTEERS as Technical Writer – Policy & Process Documentation.
We are seeking a Technical Writer (Volunteer) to help document internal policies, procedures, and workflows, such as HR processing steps, compliance guidelines, and operational best practices. Your work will ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility for team members and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and document policies (e.g., HR onboarding, data security, volunteer engagement, etc.).
• Create structured process documentation with step-by-step guides, flowcharts, and templates.
• Ensure compliance by aligning documents with relevant regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders (HR, leadership, and operations teams) to gather information.
• Maintain version control and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Required Experience:
• Experience in technical writing, policy documentation, or business process documentation.
• Strong ability to translate complex processes into clear, structured documents.
• Proficiency in tools like Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or Confluence.
• Experience with HR or nonprofit policies is a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication and attention to detail.

• Your first assignment will involve launching a fundraising campaign. iHealth will provide comprehensive guidance and resources to help ensure your fundraiser is both quick and successful.
• Please note that candidates seeking CPT/Internships or OPT are ineligible for this role
• Location: 100% remote
• Location: Anywhere in the World
• Hours per week: Approximately 4 to 8+ ( can be adjusted as per volunteer availability)
• Reporting to: Founder
• HealthTech experience is a plus
