Job Summary As a Part-Time Speech Pathologist - Brooklyn, you will work under the direct supervision of our experienced team to administer diagnostic and rehabilitative services to patients with speech and language impairments. You will develop and implement care plans, participate in discharge planning, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Key Responsibilities Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of patients and care partners, including measurable short-term and long-term goals with specific time frames. Discharge Planning: Collaborate with patients, care partners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective discharge plans. Assessment and Evaluation: Assist in the examination of patients with speech and language disorders, determine the etiology, history, and severity of specific disorders, and develop treatment plans. Interventions: Plan and administer remedial programs designed to restore or improve the communicative ability of patients with physiogenic or psychogenic speech and language disorders. Documentation: Complete all required documentation for patient care and reimbursement, including thorough and accurate clinical documentation. Participation: Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and committees as assigned, and contribute to the development of best practices in speech therapy. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: A Master's Degree with a major in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college. 300 hours of supervised clinical experience in speech-language pathology. CPR certification. Preferred Licenses: Physical Therapist License - NYS (not required but preferred). Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Strong assessment and treatment planning skills. Proficiency in clinical documentation and electronic medical records.
