Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations for clients in their homes, following physician orders for medications, treatments, and medical services
Maintain accurate records of patients' conditions and report to physicians periodically concerning adverse developments in a patient's response to treatment
Provide prompt emergency treatment, including 911 calls if necessary, and educate patients and families on proper diet and health habits
Supervise diet and cook special meals depending on patient needs, and maintain medical equipment and arrange for medical supplies and drugs
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse
Good verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
Patient and empathetic approach when dealing with patients who may be disagreeable or demanding
Emergency response capabilities in crisis situations
Sufficient physical strength to move patients, and sufficient vision and hearing ability to observe and communicate with patients
