Responsibilities
Responsible for remotely verifying medication orders entered after normal pharmacy hours.

Verifies prescribed medications according to professional standards, facility procedures, and state and federal legal requirements.

Reviews patient's medication profile for allergies, possible interactions, and appropriateness of the medication order.

Clarifies medication orders by contacting the nursing staff or the on-duty provider.

Communicates with on-site pharmacy staff regarding non-urgent follow-up for orders.
Requirements
Requires a minimum of eight (8) years directly related and progressively responsible experience.

A Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited College of Pharmacy is required.

An unrestricted, current state license as a Registered Pharmacist in resident state is required.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints.

Strong leadership skills and interpersonal skills.

Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively to improve customer satisfaction.

Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, services, and drug interactions.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
