Part Time Orientation Mobility Specialist Position | Providence, RI
Blazer Jobs is actively hiring a dedicated Orientation and Mobility Specialist to support students in a school district located in Providence, RI.
Position Details:
• Part-time, onsite role
• Itinerant support for students with visual impairments, focusing on safe navigation in school, home, and community environments
• Caseload information will be provided during the district interview
Requirements:
• Valid Orientation and Mobility Specialist certification (ACVREP COMS or equivalent)
• Must meet Rhode Island state licensure requirements for providing orientation and mobility services in school settings
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Orientation & Mobility or a related field
• Prior experience working with school-aged students with visual impairments preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with IEP teams
• Proficiency in the use of assistive technology and mobility tools
