At TalkNow, a 24/7, 365, on-demand telehealth service, you'll play a vital role in providing emotional support to students and members (faculty and staff) in higher education. As a Mental Health Provider, you'll leverage your expertise in crisis intervention, de-escalation, risk assessment, and safety planning to make a meaningful impact.
The Role
We're looking for a dedicated professional with a master's degree in professional counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy, and experience working with populations in need of crisis intervention and support. As a TalkNow Provider, you'll:
Act as a primary support and triage for incoming TalkNow sessions (via phone, video, or chat) using a person-centered, strengths-based approach
Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and triage support as needed, ensuring full availability during your scheduled hours
Collaborate with students to develop care plans, progress care, and conduct risk assessments as needed
Document sessions, assessments, and care plans in our electronic health record (EHR) with precision and attention to detail
Adhere to established standards for AIDET communication, clinical documentation quality, HIPAA/PHI, and telehealth regulations
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
A minimum of a master's degree in professional counseling, social work, or marriage and family therapy
Strong clinical writing, assessment, and active listening skills
Experience with crisis intervention and de-escalation
A fully licensed Mental Health Practitioner with a North Carolina state license (Associate license also accepted)
