About the Role: Making a Difference through Music Education As a Part-Time Music Instructor with Music & Arts, you'll be at the forefront of our music education services, delivering high-quality instruction to students in both group and one-on-one settings. Your role will be pivotal in inspiring a love of music, developing musical talents, and creating memorable experiences for our students. With a flexible schedule that accommodates part-time availability, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact without sacrificing your work-life balance. Key Responsibilities: Bringing Music to Life Teach music classes in local schools, adapting to class sizes that range from a few students to over 50, and tailoring your instruction to meet the diverse needs of your students. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, curriculum, and benchmarks that cater to various experience levels and instruments, ensuring students achieve their full potential. Recruit and retain students for band and orchestra programs through innovative events, instrument testing, and recruitment nights, fostering a sense of community and musical growth. Maintain strong relationships with school administrators and principals to secure class schedules, communicate changes, and address any issues that may arise, ensuring seamless collaboration. Coordinate concerts, solo & ensemble activities, and other performances that showcase student talent and progress, providing opportunities for students to shine. Work closely with our retail store and education representatives to ensure students have the necessary instruments and supplies to succeed in their musical endeavors. Offer summer lessons and continuing education activities, providing a continuum of learning and musical development beyond the regular school year. Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our music education programs. Essential Qualifications: The Foundation for Success To excel as a Part-Time Music Instructor with Music & Arts, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in Music Education, demonstrating your expertise and commitment to the field. 3-5 years of music teaching experience, although new graduates with a state teaching license may be considered if they're willing to complete our internal training and mentoring programs. A valid state teaching license, ensuring you meet the necessary standards for teaching in local schools. A valid state driver's license and automotive insurance, as some travel may be required for school visits and events.
