Part-time Legal Transcription Typist (remote in CA)
Orange County insurance defense law firm is seeking an experienced legal transcriptionist. This position is part-time, 100% remote, but must reside in CA, and is an independent contractor position. Hours range from 15 to 25 hours/week. Transcription includes: medical summaries, pre-trial reports, memorandums, discovery and other legal documents.
Skills Required:
ā¢ Minimum 2 years of legal transcription
ā¢ Ability to type minimum 65wpm with accuracy
ā¢ Strong attention to detail
ā¢ Excellent written communication skills (spelling, punctuation and grammar)
ā¢ Knowledge of legal terminology and formatting requirements
ā¢ Must be fluent in English and have good listening skills
ā¢ Ability to complete work in a timely manner and meet all deadlines
System and Equipment Requirements
PC with Windows 10 or higher
MS Office 2010 or higher
Transcription headphones or earbuds
Olympus Foot Controller (firm can provide)

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
