Tutor and supervise special education students in various settings, including resource rooms and regular classrooms
Maintain anecdotal records of student progress and report findings to the special education teacher
Assist in administering academic tests and maintaining reinforcement activities for students
Participate in individual education program meetings as required
Accept additional duties assigned by the district as needed
What Is Required (Qualifications)
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Strong organizational skills and ability to retain confidential information
Personable, friendly demeanor with good attendance
Supportive of district programs and punctuality
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Experience working with children in an educational setting
Completion of two years of college coursework or ability to pass the paraprofessional test
