About the Role: Part-Time Human Resources (HR) Assistant We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Part-Time Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our remote team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support for a variety of HR duties and activities. This is a part-time position scheduled to work 20 hours per week during standard business hours, with the possibility of increased hours during peak periods. Key Responsibilities: Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance in a timely and professional manner. Assist in responding to and troubleshooting Human Resource Management System (HRMS) login inquiries, ensuring seamless access for employees. Respond to written and telephone employment verifications from outside entities, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company policies. Assist with pre-employment reference checks, verifying candidate information and ensuring compliance with hiring procedures. Maintain current employee records in the company's HRMS, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information. Stay abreast of employment law changes through webinars, professional articles, and other resources, ensuring labor law posters are current for all company locations. Create and run various HR reports, providing insights and data to support HR initiatives and business decisions. Comply with federal, state, and local employment laws, ensuring company policies and procedures are up-to-date and compliant. Assist with proposal development, as necessary, and perform other duties as assigned. Essential Qualifications: 0-4 years of experience in a related field or area, such as Human Resources, Administration, or a similar role. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred. HRCI, SHRM, or related certification highly desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Human Resources field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders. Ability to handle sensitive data and situations with the utmost confidentiality. Highly motivated individual who works well independently and as part of a team. Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment, prioritizing constantly changing priorities. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment. Familiarity with HRMS systems and other HR-related software. Experience with employment law compliance and labor law posters. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
