Job Title: Part-Time HR & Payroll Administrator
Location: Syracuse, NY (Remote or In-Office)
Hours: 15-20 hours per week
Schedule: Flexible
Compensation: $18 - $22 per hour, based on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and experienced HR professional to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is ideal for someone looking for supplemental hours, including retirees or professionals transitioning into retirement. The HR & Payroll Administrator will support the Human Resources department with payroll processing, time and attendance administration, onboarding, paperwork, and general HR support as needed.
Key Responsibilities
• Process weekly payroll and manage time and attendance records - must be available on Mondays and Tuesdays.
• Maintain employee files and ensure proper documentation for new hires, terminations, and payroll changes
• Assist with onboarding processes and related paperwork
• Support light recruiting efforts for direct labor positions
• Provide administrative support for general HR tasks and projects as assigned
Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in Human Resources and payroll administration
• Proficient with HRIS systems; Paychex experience strongly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
• Flexible availability, with capacity to work 15-20 hours per week
