About the Role We're seeking highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistants to support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional patient care. As a Medical Assistant with Epic Healthcare Management, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless clinical operations, providing top-notch patient care, and contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment. Key Responsibilities Patient Care: Assist healthcare providers in delivering direct patient care by taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Clinical Procedures: Perform routine clinical procedures, including venipuncture, specimen collection, EKGs, and medication administration under the supervision of licensed healthcare providers. Documentation: Maintain accurate medical records, documenting patient information, test results, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR) systems while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care techniques to promote understanding and adherence to care plans. Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper functioning and cleanliness of medical equipment and supplies, reporting any issues promptly to maintain efficient clinic operations. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively, and contribute to a positive work environment. Qualifications and Requirements To succeed as a Medical Assistant with Epic Healthcare Management, you'll need: A high school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant training program is preferred. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred, but not required. Previous experience in a clinical healthcare setting is advantageous, but not necessary – we're committed to providing comprehensive training and support. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues. Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
