Job Summary The Part Time Evening Cleaner will work under the supervision of the Custodial Manager or Supervisor and perform a variety of custodial duties in accordance with established standards, instructions, and procedures of C&W Services. Key Responsibilities As a Part Time Evening Cleaner, your typical job duties and responsibilities will include: Sweep, mop, and wash floors, and other surfaces (inside buildings) to maintain a clean and safe environment Use light and heavy (commercial type) floor (buffers) and shampoo machines, including attachments, to clean and maintain floors Vacuum rugs in offices and public areas, spot clean daily, and shampoo when directed Clean and dust furniture, exhibit cases, pictures, chairs, door trim, light fixtures, and all other horizontal surfaces, including periodic high dusting Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partition, and specified windows to maintain a clean and transparent environment Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior/exterior, and spot clean interior walls as appropriate daily Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily, following standard bathroom procedures, including damp wiping glass surfaces, emptying waste baskets, servicing soap and toilet paper dispensers, dusting sills, cleaning tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, sweeping/mopping/scrubbing floors, etc. Monitor possible defects, such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors in a timely manner Collect building trash daily, placing it in approved containers, and place in designated collection areas for subsequent removal Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications to maintain a clean and hygienic environment Sweep or shovel snow from steps and walkways at building entrances and connecting walkways/sidewalks as directed to ensure safe access Perform periodic work, including high dusting, leather and wood surface polishing, and wall washing to maintain a clean and well-maintained environment Any and all other duties as assigned by the Custodial Manager or Supervisor Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following requirements: No previous experience is required for basic cleaning responsibilities, but a strong work ethic and attention to detail are essential Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment, including portable vacuum cleaners (backpack style) Requires attention to detail, a pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance Knowledge of cleaning procedures, protocols, and equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean and organized environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical ability to lift, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At C&W Services, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
