WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Provide job-embedded coaching (planning, observation, feedback, and reflection) aligned to grade-level standards and high-quality instructional materials.
• Analyze student and classroom data to identify instructional needs and tailor coaching support.
• Design and facilitate standards-aligned, content-specific professional learning for elementary educators.
• Collaborate with principals, district partners, and team members to align coaching priorities to school and project goals.
• Contribute to team goals by sharing insights, supporting continuous improvement, and adapting coaching strategies as needed.
• Provide supportive, engaging, high-quality, joyful and data-informed coaching experience for stakeholders.

WHAT YOU HAVE
Qualifications:
• At least three years of teaching experience
• Prior experience developing and coaching teachers
• Proven track record of building trusting relationships with other adults
• Experience with deeper learning, school design, innovative models, and/or standards-aligned project-based learning, as well as cultural proficiency (preferred)
• Previous experience designing and facilitating professional development for teachers (preferred)
• Strong creative instincts to develop new approaches, programs or initiatives with limited guidance and historical precedent
• Ability to track and analyze data on teacher and student performance to uncover trends and act strategically and effectively to improve results
• A commitment to constant learning and improvement in both your own work and the work of others. You thrive on feedback and implement it quickly to continually improve your practice

Competencies:
• Have classroom experience. You have at least three years of teaching experience, elementary preferred and have a proven track record of raising student achievement.
• Believe that students’ and families’ cultural, linguistic, and holistic identities are an asset in the educational experience. • Understand quality curriculum and instruction. You have strong familiarity and expertise with the Common Core State Standards and have experience working with and coaching others using Tier 1 curriculum (highly preferred).

• Develop teachers. You track and analyze teacher data, but it’s what you do with it that really has an impact. Based on your data analysis and what you see in the classroom, you identify new approaches to improve teacher performance under a quick timeline.
• Have stage presence. We’re counting on your strong facilitation skills and ability to expertly lead new teacher professional development.
• Be comfortable with the unknown. Ambiguity doesn’t scare you; just the opposite, you thrive on it. You are flexible and comfortable adapting your work to maximize your impact on students, first year teachers you coach and your team.
• Build meaningful relationships. You look for opportunities to connect with others to find out what really makes them tick and use those relationships as a strong foundation in your shared work, whether with a teacher, your teammates, or school and system leaders.
• Embrace cross-cultural agility. Authentic self-reflection, self-awareness, and high emotional intelligence are central to who you are, and you utilize these skills to contribute to a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
